The setup of a PiL test is not quite that easy – until now.
With TPT 19 you get some exciting new features for Processor-in-the-Loop testing. On the C platform you can now directly build the target code for your PiL and execute it either on a board or in a simulation environment.
For the execution in the simulation environment, you need our Trace32 Support Package and a Trace32 license from Lauterbach. In Trace32 you can choose to use the simulation instead of a board.
This saves you the purchase, setup and maintenance of the hardware.
For whom is this suitable? Principally for those who deliver and are responsible for the application as target code.
Software application developers want to ensure that the code compiled for the target is behaviorally identical to their model or code before delivery.
The great advantage of our solution is: already created test cases and assessments for MiL and SiL test stages can be easily reused.
Plus: With the back-to-back test feature in the execution platform, you can automatically compare your MiL/SiL test executions against the PiL tests. For each time step. For each interface.
Deviations are automatically marked as failed in the back-to-back test and in the report, you can immediately see why something has failed.
Pretty comfortable, right?
